Registration closes on November 1 for PHOTO DAY, presented by the GREATER LOS ANGELES ZOO ASSOCIATION and PAUL’S PHOTO, an annual opportunity for photographers of all age, skill, and interest levels to hone their skills through hands-on workshops and personalized instruction from the experts at Paul’s Photo. Photo Day, happening on Sunday, November 11, is a unique opportunity to capture wildlife photos without leaving the city limits and allows novices the ability to learn the basics while more seasoned photographers can delve deeper into the art and science of outdoor photography.  

Participants will improve their wildlife photography techniques through informative workshops and dynamic presentations. Morning sessions include the popular Basic, Wildlife Close-Up, or Telephoto stations. Stations offer guests opportunities to photograph animals under ideal situations and become more successful photographers. Afternoon sessions include a keynote address, photo walks, and one-on-one time with representatives of major equipment manufacturers. Photographers may take advantage of the limited-loan, professional-grade equipment. These sessions will lend instruction and inspiration to create and capture stunning images at the L.A. Zoo. L.A. Zoo Photo Day is rain or shine. 

Photo Day tickets are $190 per person, and $70 per person for friends and family accompanying a participant. Friends and family tickets include early Zoo entry and lunch only. GLAZA members, students with valid school ID, or Paul’s Camera Club members save $10 on Photographer admission. GLAZA members receive their discount code via email, and students and Paul’s Camera Club members can request a code by emailing PhotoDay@lazoo.org.
