Laura Kimpton’s Monumental Words is coming to the heart of DTLA at FIGat7th!
The exhibit of oversized sculptures (six and 12-foot to be exact) will be presented for three months and will include XOXO, LOVE, and #. The display will light up the city on the shopping center’s plaza throughout the holiday season and into 2018. Monumental Words, which debuted at the 2015 Burning Man Festival, provides a simple yet artistic way of expressing and sharing positive vibes. The sculptures are the must-snap, selfie moment of the holiday season. Visitors can spread love to family and friends near and far while doing their holiday shopping, grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many chef-driven eateries at TASTE Food Hall, or attending the Silent Night, Silent Disco quiet clubbing event on Friday December 1st (6:00 pm) – all at FIGat7th!
This exhibit brought to you by Arts Brookfield, the leading purveyor for public art initiatives in downtown Los Angeles, debuts on Monday, November 20 and is on display through Valentine’s Day, ending on February 17. Free and open to the public, Monumental Words will be lit each day from 4pm to 11pm.
