El Cid, the venerable bar/restaurant/nightclub, located in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake Sunset Junction neighborhood, celebrates its 50^th year as the premiere venue for Flamenco Dinner Shows as well as a popular spot for enjoying Brunch, Tapas on the outdoor Patio, Happy Hour, and well-known Nightclub, has added a new and exciting vibe to their entertainment lineup with Tapas Tuesday Jazz Nights with the Sir Sultry Quintet every Tuesday evening from 8 – 11 pm. Performing original compositions, Sir Sultry Quintet is a mix of jazz influenced from world music, flamenco, and blues.

Ethan Margolis, director of Arte y Pureza Flamenco Dance Company teams up with the El Cid Dinner Theater in Silver Lake to present jazz/world music every Tuesday night. The Sir Sultry Quintet boasts an impressive lineup of accomplished jazz and world music artists. Featured musicians include saxophonist/flautist Katisse Buckingham (credits: Herbie Hancock, Prince); bassist Ric Fierabracci (credits: Chick Corea, Tom Jones); percussionist Chris Wabich (credits: Sting, Stanley Jordan); and guitarist/musical director Ethan Margolis of Arte y Pureza Flamenco Company. The result of Margolis' creation is an array of astounding rhythmic flurries, beautifully tasteful melodic lines and addictive grooves.
