125th Anniversary of the birth of Richard Neutra
April 8, 2017 marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of this remarkable pioneer of the modernist movement in the US.
Recognized on the cover of Time Magazine in 1949 and again with the AIA’s Gold Medal in 1977, we pause to celebrate this titan in the history of modern design in the US and on 4 continents.
The NEUTRA INSTITUTE MUSEUM OF SILVER LAKE will host a birthday party at its venue at the former Neutra office Building at 2379 Glendale Blvd. in Silverlake, Saturday April 8, from 6 to 10PM.
Open to the public at no charge; join us to celebrate!
Take a look at the current art show and newly released Neutra Furniture on display in this ‘community room’; a new use for the office space of the Neutra Practice, which operated there until the 90s.
