Pending approval by City Council, the run-off election will determine Carolyn Ramsay or David Rhu as our next Councilmember in Council District 4.

Opinion:

Having worked in current Councilmember Tom LaBonge's office for many years, Ramsay knows the District well. She comfortable in heals at a business mixer, hiking boots in Griffith Park. She stays cheerful and cooperates with others under difficult circumstances. Her interpersonal relationships and skills could speed the process of getting things done in City Hall. Although Tomas O'Grady had hoped for different results of the final vote counting, we're sure to benefit from his continued work outside dreary downtown meetings, in our school gardens, libraries and beyond. I hope he'll be felt as that thrifty thorn in the side of the Council. May his voice of the people be heard not only in the Chambers of City Hall, but over the leaf blowers in our neighborhoods.
