A meeting will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, October 17^th at the Griffith Park Ranger Station, 4730 Crystal Springs Drive (next to the Visitors’ Center.) Enter Griffith Park at the Crystal Springs Drive entrance at the corner Los Feliz Boulevard. The Franklin Hills Residents Association received the disturbing report below from a neighbor on Friday 9/27/13. 

"We're experiencing unusually aggressive coyotes around Lyric and St. George, Franklin, Ronda Vista, in  the early morning dog walking hours, and we have heard from other dog walkers that these coyotes have attacked small dogs. This morning, walking my three small dogs in the 6am hour, I encountered two coyotes at Franklin and St.George, and even with three barking dogs, yelling, and waving my 100-LED lamp, these two coyotes started moving toward us, not away. Had it not been for traffic, I'm certain the coyotes would have moved closer. Moments later, some poor animal near St. George and Lyric was most certainly killed by the coyotes -- you could hear the death screams and pack in kill mode. Be very careful."
