Friends of Silver Lake LibraryFriends of Silver Lake Library (FoSLL) is holding their quarterly used book sale on Sat, July 27 from 10-2. Volunteers are needed to help set up on Friday, July 26 starting at 12:30 and take down on Saturday, July 27 at 2 pm.
City of Los Angeles Public Library budget cuts have drastically impacted the Silver Lake Library branch. For the past 3 years, FoSLL has been supplementing the budget for general library equipment, supplies and program materials. All of the money raised go to the Silver Lake Branch.
In addition, the grounds maintenance budget has been ELIMINATED and FoSLL has been paying for minimal grounds maintenance and litter pick up.
