CD4 and local elected representatives are hosting the Los Feliz Homeless Connect Day on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, from 10am to 2pm at Friendship Auditorium.
A Homeless Connect Day is a one-stop shop for resources and services to connect city, county, state and nonprofit agencies to individuals experiencing homelessness. Throughout the event, service providers and government agencies will help provide showers, state ID cards, haircuts, legal assistance, and other supportive services. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
TIME: If you're interested in volunteering, please contact cd4.issues@lacity.org and provide your availability (volunteer shifts available 8am–3pm). Volunteers will be asked to help attendees identify which on-site resources and services they need. Some volunteers will be asked to assist with serving breakfast and lunch, and setup and breakdown.
CLOTHES: Do you have any clothes or blankets you're no longer using? Socks, warm clothing, sunglasses, and belts are particularly needed.
Drop off clean items (in boxes or bags please) between October 4 and 8 at:
Griffith Park Adult Community Center (3203 Riverside Dr.), southern side yard (not inside the center)
between 10am and 4pm
LFIA will take them to the Homeless Connect Day
or before October 5 at the CD4 Hollywood Field Office (6501 Fountain Ave.)
