My son and others are literally fighting for political change elsewhere in the world. 

Locally, our confrontations take on a different flare. I saw a Greuel lawn sign spiked into the ground closely in front of a Garcetti placard. And Mitch O'Farrell signs have been stolen from my front lawn and others'.

An invitation I received from Luis Lopez and Hans Johnson for a fundraiser for Mitch includes a quote from the L. A. Times endorsement and, "A proud and well-qualified openly gay candidate, Mitch is newly endorsed by the [LGBT] Victory Fund." Not a phrase that would gain much favor in Afghanistan. 

A new voice has been heard in the race for CD13. Using one of the meems of Echo Park, the abandoned sofa, as his symbol, someone impersonating Mitch's opponent tweets tongue in cheek humor that I find LOL funny. Here is his introduction:
