Autumn is a time of change, of letting go. That’s why the Silver Lake Time Bank is holding a Re-Purpose Fair!

October 19, 2013 2:00-5:00 p.m. Silverlake Community Church 2930 Hyperion Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90027 (Just north of Rowena. Limited parking behind the church. Street parking is available. Consider riding your bike or carpooling!)

Join us for: Hands-on demonstrations on how to re-use everyday materials:

o t-shirts into cloth bags o old calendars into origami boxes

o newspapers into trash container liners

· Recycling goods within our community:

o The Really, Really, Really Free Table – bring an item or two that you don’t need; find an item or two you can use

o Fruit, Veggie, Plant Swap – too many mint plants or apples? Bring them to share with neighbors

o Neighborhood Fruit Picking – If you have a fruit tree and would like to share your fruit, come add your trees to our fruit tree map. We can even get you help to pick your fruit. Plus: food, music and fun! Celebrate the Time Bank! Learn more about how the time bank works and how to get the most out of being a time bank member.
