Friends,

One short term improvement we can make to improve public access to the Silver Lake Reservoir is to open a path on top of the South Dam; an element in the original Silver Lake Reservoir Master Plan. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has agreed to fund the improvement and now is your chance to weigh in on this idea. 

This weekend, my office is working with LADWP to host an open house and provide a walking tour of the South Dam. The event will take place on Saturday, May 13, 10a-2p, starting at the Silver Lake Recreation Center, 1850 W Silver Lake Boulevard, in Silver Lake.

The event will give attendees an opportunity to view renderings of the proposed plans and take in the views from this part of the facility.
