Silver Lake Neighborhood Council Elections

Why does it matter? City Hall can see engaged neighborhoods by how many of us are voting. This can carry weight in future decisions. We want them to know who is voting, and from whom they can expect a turn out at the polls when they are up for reelection.

Who Can Vote?
According to City Ordinance No. 182830…

..neighborhood council membership will be open to everyone who lives, works or owns real property in the neighborhood and also to those who declare a stake in the neighborhood as a community interest stakeholder, defined as  person who affirms a substantial and ongoing participation within the neighborhood council’s boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational, non-profit and/or religious organizations  Subdivision (2) of Section 22.811 (a)
