An ancient celebration observed throughout Mexico & around the world in many cultures, focusing on gatherings of family & friends to remember ancestors, friends & family members who have passed.
We will build altars (ofrendas), led by Ricardo Reyes*, honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods & beverages of the departed.
Nina Sorkin will head a craft table for papel picardo/marigolds & Yasmine Diaz willl provide Dia De Los Muertos face painting.
The community is WELCOME. This is a FREE event. Light snacks provided. You are welcome to bring flowers, an item or 2 of your loved one/s or print their name/s on paper provided & place on the altar.
