Help the Silver Lake community honor and bid a sad farewell to El Conquistador Mexican Restaurant -- which, after 40 fabulous years, will be closing down on Dec. 22. CD13 Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell will present a certificate of appreciation to co-owners Jesse Pinto and Alberto Curiel, people will have a chance to express their gratitude to the place that has become a Silver Lake institution, and afterwards those who wish can go over to the restaurant just across the street at 3701 Sunset Blvd. for one last (or penultimate) award-winning El Conq Margarita.
