Hyperion Bridge - New Becomes Old

Glendale-Hyperion Bridge Retrofit Plans Released
Plans for a seismic retrofit for the Glendale-Hyperion Bridge have been released. A mock-up is seen above. The plans include a new pedestrian bridge, an eight-foot widening, realignment of on-ramps and off-ramps, and a median barrier. The project also includes elements of historic restoration. Construction is estimated to take place in 2016.
