Silver Lake – Always a Bridesmaid (on CurbedLA)?

Curbed Los Angeles is holding their contest for the Curbed Cup award for Neighborhood of the Year. The final vote is now between Atwater Village and Silver Lake.

SilverLakeStar.com doesn't occupy a brick and mortar, or perhaps (no!) CurbedLA had not yet heard about Silver Lake having a new, dedicated website. For whatever reasons SLS doesn't show up as one of Curb's reasons to vote for Silver Lake over Atwater Village. They list many property developments and our recently completed reservoir path to favor Silver Lake. Curbed describes Silver Lake as often a bridesmaid in their annual online event. What gives Silver Lake or Atwater Village the edge this year, in your opinion?

According to Curbed, "Because this is the most important decision of all time, the polls will be left open until noon on Wednesday, January 2." How will you vote?

-Betsy Hall grew up in Atwater Village and Silver Lake. Many of her lovely friends and clients hail from these two adjacent 'hoods. No matter how the vote goes, they are both great places to live, work and play.
