Our local Keller Williams Realtors are making history by expanding to two buildings on real estate avenue, AKA Hillhurst.
The office building at 2150 Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz has seen a lot of history since it was built in 1946. Through the years, the 3686 square foot building has housed Hoover Realty, next a branch of the Jon Douglas Company, then Coldwell Banker -- before the location down the street at 1917 Hillhurst was built. In recent years , Re/Max Tri-City has occupied the space.
Sitting on a 6080 square-foot lot which includes parking spaces, tax records show that JD Kelleher has owned this building since April 24, 2000. Beginning March 1st, says Keller Williams Los Feliz team leader Gary Reavis, this building will be space for an additional 50 agents. It will be an addition to KWLF at 1600 North Hillhurst Ave. down the street.
"I realized we needed more space because so many agents from other companies wanted to join our office and we had no space to offer them," Reavis said. "I, then, made the decision to start looking for another building. The agents in the office and myself started looking in the area and got lucky with one right up the street."
Reavis credits commercial agent Scott Howard as being an enormous help in securing the new space, and adds they could not have done it without him. Reavis says 2150 Hillhurst Ave. has been leased for five years at a cost of $12,000 per month.
"We are painting, adding carpet, adding and updating a lot of the fixtures-- which is coming along beautifully."
